If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.


If I give all that I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.


Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

When I retired a small number of former parishioners asked me to send them printed sermons and meditations on a monthly basis. This I have been doing for the last ten years. This monthly ministry is also available at http://www.livingword.uk.com.

Word of Life was opened to make these writings available on a more permanent basis.

I desire only that these writings may glorify God, and also glorify Jesus Christ in all his saving love. My prayer is that as you visit this web site, God may make these writings of some blessing to you.
