Introduction to these letters

The year 1995 was the year when I retired, and my retirement was from the end of August that year. August was taken as my annual holiday, so my retirement took effect, as far as the life of the church was concerned, on the last Sunday in July. This explains why the letters in the church magazine in 1995 only went up to July.

Over 37 years of active ministry I have found God has used this ministry of letter writing in the magazine, and I pray that he will greatly bless this re-publication of these letters through the Internet.
