This Training Course was prepared
by me when the church where I was Vicar had experienced some real blessing
from God, and there was quite a desperate need for more help in the ministry.
I publish it as it is on my web
site now I have retired with the prayerful hope that it might be useful in the
ongoing work in some congregation. In retrospect, it seems to me that there is
far to much material in each session, and that each topic, given one session
in this course, would be better divided up and spread over more than one
session.
These days also discussion and
participation from the group is understood to be essential and useful. There
has been some attempt here where there are two versions of a subject to
suggests ways how such group involvement can be introduced, but it is very
scetchy.
I hope that the reading of this Training Course
might offer ideas, and stimulate the preparation of some course on one or more
of the subjects tackled in this course. If so the resurrection of this
training effort will be worthwhile
